The Outflow Tract Engineering Laboratory aims to develop novel treatments for glaucoma by enhancing natural routes of ocular outflow and developing new ones.

Specifically, we are reverse engineering the trabecular meshwork that is at the center of intraocular pressure dysregulation in glaucoma. This will systematically establish factors needed for regulated outflow to occur providing insight into basic mechanisms and enable new therapies. We use selective ablation strategies to build a de novo trabecular meshwork using stem cells.
