James Jasey was raising his two sons as a single father and working for the United States Customs when his life took a dramatic change: he was involved in a car accident that nearly cost him his life. He suffered multiple injuries and lost his sight. On his return home from the hospital he had to find a way to deal with his pain and the shock but also with the challenge of raising his two sons as a blind adult.
Read his amazing story of faith, hope, courage and his experience as a “differently-abled” person as shared to the “SP Magazine”, a magazine on single parenting.
James decided to make a difference in the lives of other people with vision impairment, so he became the President of the Beyond the Eyes organization. The mission of Beyond the Eyes is "Strengthening and uplifting minorities who are blind and visually impaired."
